Each of the rides will pass through towns and cities, bringing attention to the plight of the Palestinian people. All four routes average around 40 to 60 miles a day and will be on a mix of traffic free national cycling routes, quiet country roads, cycle paths, with as little cycling on main roads as possible. On Saturday night, in a town or city half-way to Birmingham, riders will stay in student halls of residence or accommodation of their choosing. Additional riders will join us on Sunday for the second day, with all four rides converging in Sparkhill Park in Birmingham on Sunday afternoon for a gathering to celebrate Palestinian culture and raise awareness of the Palestinian situation, with artists and speakers from the growing solidarity movement. On Monday, 8th August, hundreds of riders and supporters will leave Birmingham in a convoy for the 19 mile ride to the Elbit owned factory in Shenstone, Staffordshire, for a peaceful demonstration to highlight the UK's unethical arms trade with Israel. http://www.redspokes.co.uk/thebigride/dates-and-prices.php
